WSA Team

The WSA team at the OCIO-IS is responsible for all of the nearly 300 enterprise level Windows servers at the MUSC facility. In addition to Windows Server, we are also system owners for Citrix, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Active Directory Services, VMWare, XenServer, Microsoft SUS, MS Forefront, and the MS Exchange infrastructure. We take pride in maintaining a 99.999% uptime for systems that depend on our component Infrastructure, and when things do sometimes go wrong, we have a 15 minute emergency response criterea for our critical systems.

At the WSA team, we realize all to well that the systems we manage can make the difference between life and death, as they are the core of the tools that the MUSC doctors and nurses use to provide patient care. Redundancy is a critical component in what we do, and we employ many different technologies in order to maintain high availability, such as MS Clustering and Citrix Netscaler. By leveraging the technology of these systems, we can ensure that our systems adhere to the availability and system readiness benchmarks that have been set by this industry.
